bad habits die hard

nail art...it's an obsession. mel's aunt arranged for us to get our nails done so we wanted to get something crazy since we are in asia, home of extravagant nail art. here are some of the options we had to chose from:

with over 150 colors of glitter to chose from, i was too overwhelmed to think, so just picked black. kind of a noob when it comes to this, so i just kinda pointed to a picture...the language barrier didn't help either. mel was there to translate towards the end, but all that was really said was that i should stop biting my nails...

honestly, my fingers kinda hurt, i can't open my candy, &  it's hard to type. they say beauty is pain, but beauty is not glitter & rhinestones. rather, simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.

that being said, i think i'll stick to the natural look, even if it does mean short brittle nails. once a nail biter, always a nail biter.
