Taipei 101

Despite what my mom thinks, not everything we have done here involves shopping and eating. okayokay, maybe it does, but while en route to eat at Taipei 101, we got acquainted with what used to be the tallest building in the world until Dubai built Burj Khalifa in 2010. Inside there are 101 stories, a luxury mall, an observatory, and a massive food court (which is what initially attracted us). The asian-influenced architectural designs both internally and externally is meant to symbolize the evolution of both technology and tradition in Asia and the building is kind of like a tribute to Asia (mini history lesson brought to you by wikipedia).

the walk over there was beautiful & some of the colors really stood out to me. the city just seems so vibrant and bright (not just because of the abundance of fluorescent signs), but also because of some of the nature.

we got to Taipei 101 & shopped around for a little (by shopped i mena window shopped) and then made our way to the food court. i can see why its so famous!! there was a combination of sit down restaurants, food to go, juice stands, dessert places, fast food, a market, even a coldstone!
